MARKET LIVE 6.10.10

1:22 pm: Nu Tek India Ltd is planning to foray into power sector. The company plans to set up power generating capacities based on non-conventional and conventional methods. On NSE, the company's shares were higher by 5.71% at Rs 53.65.
1:06 pm: Suzlon Energy Ltd has appointed Silas Zimu as CEO of the company's new South African operations. On NSE, Suzlon shares were up 0.61% at Rs 57.95. The stock saw a high of Rs 58.95 versus a low of Rs 57.65.

12:45 pm: Express distribution and supply chain solutions provider, Gati Ltd has announced its partnership with Meridian Mobile Pvt Ltd, part of the UK based Meridian Group. The tie-up makes Gati the sole logistics and supply chain solution provider for Meridian’s flagship brand of GSM phones “Fly” in India. Gati will offer third partly logistics solutions which would mean providing integrated operations right from procurement to warehousing , inventory management, order management, demand-supply support and analytics, distribution and reverse logistics. On NSE, Gati shares were up 1.39% at Rs 76.40.
12:30 pm: Glenmark Pharmaceuticals S.A., a wholly owned subsidiary of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd India, it has been granted by Lay Line Genomics S.p.A. an exclusive, worldwide license to Lay Line’s entire intellectual property portfolio in the TrkA field. The licensed assets include BXL1H5 which is a novel monoclonal antibody that binds to TrkA receptors. On NSE, Glenmark shares were up 0.87% at Rs 317.20.
12:20 pm: Hindustan Dorr-Oliver Ltd's Water Business division has bagged Refinery ETP orders worth Rs 96.57 crores. On NSE, the company's shares shot up 10.48% to Rs 142.30 on NSE, on the back of this news.
12:03 pm: Elecon Engineering Company Ltd has been awarded an order of Rs. 56.26 crores by Tecpro Systems Ltd for design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, supplying, erectioning and commissioning of Material Handling Equipments and other Equipments. On NSE, Elecon shares were up 3.24% at Rs 92.45.
11:45 am: Tantia Constructions Ltd has received a project from Chief Administrative Officer, Eastern Railway, Kolkata, worth Rs.49 crore, for construction of foundation and substructure of bridge over River Matla with RCC bored cast in situ piles of 1200 mm dia and other ancillary works in connection with extension of new B G Line beyond Canning to Bhangankhali. On NSE, Tantia shares were higher by 2.61% at Rs 94.40. The stock saw a high of Rs 98 versus a low of Rs 93.
11:34 am: MindTree Ltd has announced the launch of BlueLite, its single mode Bluetooth low energy Intellectual Property suite. The BluetoothLite IP suite will help the semiconductor manufacturers make a swift, smooth and effortless transition to tap the opportunities in the fast emerging Bluetooth low energy market. On NSE, MindTree shares were up half a per cent at Rs 512.55.
11:00 am: EdServ Softsystems Ltd has bagged a five year Government Training contract in Gujarat. As per the MOU signed with Gujarat State Government’s CED (Center for Entrepreneurship Development), EdServ has been empowered to set up and run three skill extension centers in Kheralu in Mehsana district, Gondal & Aji in Rajkot district in Gujarat. On NSE, EdServ shares were higher by 2.57% at Rs 245.90.
10:40 am: The Jammu & Kashmir Bank has approved the appointment of Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad as Chairman and CEO for a period of three years. On NSE, the bank's shares were up 0.15% at Rs 779.95. The stock touched a high of Rs 810 versus a low of Rs 779.
10:36 am: Andhra Bank has decided to increase the Benchmark Prime Lending Rate by 25 basis points from the existing rate of 12.50% per annum to 12.75% per annum, with effect from October 5. The bank has also increased the Base Rate from 8.25% to 8.50% with effect from October 5. On NSE, the bank's shares were higher by 1.47% at Rs 172.55.
10:30 am: ICICI Bank has announced an increase of 0.25% in the Base Rate with effect from October 6. The reised rate will be 7.75% per annum as against 7.50% p.a. at present. On NSE, the private sector bank's shares were up 0.81% at Rs 1,156.95.
10:02 am: Eros International Media Ltd shares listed at Rs 205.45 on the NSE, a premium of Rs 30.45 or 17.4% to the issue price of Rs 175 per share. The stock traded at Rs 192.80, higher by 10.17% to the issue price. The share saw a high of Rs 213.95 against a low of Rs 177.65. Total traded quantity was 1,32,84,690 shares and turnover Rs 254.12 crore. The company raised Rs 350 crore from the initial public offering of 200 lakh shares. The shares were offered in the price band of Rs 158-175 per share. The issue was open between September 17 and September 21 and subscribed 26.51 times.
9:47 am: Career Point Infosystems Ltd listed at Rs 461.10 on the NSE, a premium of Rs 151.10 or nearly 49%. The stock touched a high of Rs 564.50 versus a low of Rs 436.10. The stock was trading at Rs 547.55, gaining 76.63% over the issue price of Rs 310. Total traded quantity was 65,05,060 shares and turnover Rs 336.65 crore. The company had mopped up Rs 115 crore from its initial public offering, which was open between September 16-21. The issue was subscribed 47.39 times.
