MARKET LIVE 5.10.10

2:12 pm: Archidply Industries Ltd has amicably settled the labour dispute at its Mysore unit but has decided not to resume manufacturing operations as the unit is in a residential area. The company plans to shift this unit to Chintamani and develop this property as real estate. On NSE, the company's shares were lower by 0.76% at Rs 32.50 after rising to a high of Rs 33.10. 


1:49 pm: JSW Energy Ltd has announced the successful commissioning of the second unit of 135 MW of the 8X135MW power project at Barmer, Rajasthan, and achieving Commercial Operation Date (COD) effective October 4. The first unit has resumed operation earlier in September after the scheduled annual maintenance. On BSE, the company's shares traded higher by 5.77% at Rs 123.70.


 1:30 pm: The board of directors of Hasti Finance Ltd will meet on October 7 to consider raising additional funds up to Rs. 15 crores, by way of issue of equity shares / convertible warrants on preferential basis to promoters and others; and to increase the Authorized Share Capital Rs. 11 crores. The board will also consider change in the name of the company; and acquire control over the business of the companies by way of becoming holding company. On BSE, Hasti Finance shares were up 6.62% at Rs 24.15.


 12:58 pm: Bank of Baroda has decided to increase its Base Rate from 8% to 8.5% with effect from October 5. On BSE, the PSU bank's shares created a new high of Rs 916.40 and later traded at Rs 912.20, advancing 0.93%.


 12:35 pm: Birendrakumar Singh, technical analyst, Religare Securities, expects On Mobile Global Ltd to touch Rs 395 levels after the stock closed above resistance levels after a pull-back on Monday. “On Mobile has been trading lower and was in corrective downward move, the pull back for past two trading sessions has led to a positive close above the crucial resistance of Rs.378.50 levels. Maintain a stop-loss of Rs 370 for long position target of Rs 395 in 4-5 trading sessions,” Singh said. On NSE, On Mobile shares were lower by 1.22% at Rs 377.70.
